Missouri Southern International Piano Competition in April. (Competitions).

The Missouri Southern International Piano Competition (MSIPC) will take place at Missouri Southern State College, in Joplin, Missouri, April 19-24, 2004.

There are prizewinners in two divisions: Senior, ages 18 to 30, and Junior, age 17 and younger. The Senior Division first-place winner will receive $10,000 plus a Carnegie Recital Hall debut, and the Senior Division second- and third-place winners will receive $5,000 and $3,000 respectively. The Junior Division winners will receive $3,000 for first place, $2,000 for second and $1,500 for third place.

All applications must be received by the competition office before 5:00 P.M. on Monday, January 5, 2004. A registration fee of $50 must accompany the application. An additional fee of $50 is required when contestants are selected as semifinalists.
