Mississippi Power announced on Thursday that it has appointed Emile "Chip" Troxclair as vice president of its Kemper development,

Effective immediately, Troxclair will lead and oversee the company's Kemper County energy facility project through construction and startup and ongoing commercial operations.

Recently, Troxclair has served as vice president for the gasification technology business for CB&I. Previously, Troxclair he was involved in the design, startup and operations of Dow Chemical's first commercial coal gasification facility as well as plant manager for Destec Energy's Wabash River IGCC power plant.

Mississippi Power produces safe, reliable and environmentally responsible energy and is a subsidiary of Southern Company (NYSE:SO).
