Miss Tempest Rose's adults-only show; PREVIEW: House Of Burlesque: Shipwrecked, New Theatre, Cardiff.

ABURLESQUE show will launch the new season of entertainment at the New Theatre in Cardiff this weekend.

The creators of the critically-acclaimed and award-winning Circus Burlesque are staging House of Burlesque: Shipwrecked.

Having taken the West End by storm, Shipwrecked stars Miss Tempest Rose alongside her special guests, plucked from the burlesque, cabaret and circus worlds.

Miss Tempest Rose leads the audience through an adventure as these glamorous beauties try to cope with island life, meet new friends and learn to survive in style. With guests being encouraged to get involved in island life, they can expect unforgettable songs, dazzling choreography, cabaret, comedy, circus and the exotic.

Miss Tempest Rose specialises in entertaining, theatrical style Burlesque which harks back to the golden age of stars like Gypsy Rose Lee and Mae West.

An international, award-winning performer with a string of credits to her name, Miss Tempest Rose is also renowned for her singing voice.

Other credits include three West End runs, several television appearances and regular work at the UK's most prestigious cabaret and theatre venues. Miss Tempest Rose is a firm believer in Burlesque's ability to inspire, uplift, entertain and dazzle audiences worldwide.

The first of two performances - which are for adults only - opens at the venue tonight and tomorrow afternoon there will be a Burlesque class run by Miss Tempest Rose.

Suitable for beginners or anyone who has tried Burlesque before, it will run for 90 minutes, from 3pm. Tickets for the Burlesque class will be sold in person or on the phone only.

The New Theatre's new season continues from January 31 to February 2 with The Circus of Horrors before the first drama of the new season - Driving Miss Daisy, which stars Gwen Taylor and Don Warrington and runs from February 5 to 9. | House of Burlesque: Shipwrecked is at the New Theatre, Cardiff, tonight and tomorrow.
