Misery in the news; Your say.

THE news on TV and radio seem intent on not only talking down any chance of recovery, but heaping on more misery.

It seems the skill of delivering less good news benignly is beyond them. For example, a Radio Four talk about a mass global extinction was finished by a scientifically calculated conclusion that we are the cause of the fastest mass extinction ever.

But on the other hand, with disappearing resources, seas being fished out, forests being machined out of existence and the smothering, choking bloom of our populations, I doubt we will be around to witness the living Earth in its final contorting throes.

Anyway, an ice age might just slow things down for a million years or so.

Now doesn't that make you feel better? A bit like how we all felt in the 1980s and 90s living on the debt of the never-never land.
