Mirwaiz demands withdrawal of Indian troops from IOK.
The APHC Chairman addressing a gathering in Srinagar expressed grief over the recent death of a girl who died as a result of explosion of a shell in Lassipora area near Tosa Maidan army firing range in Badgam district.
He said that during military exercises scores of shells remain unexploded which later cause death and injuries to people living in the vicinity.
He said that the process of withdrawal of troops should be started from Tosa Maidan itself.
The Mirwaiz termed as blatant lie the puppet authorities' claim that pellet guns were a non-lethal weapon.
"It is highly unfortunate and condemnable that the police and paramilitary personnel are deliberately firing pellets into the eyes of people to inflict maximum damage. Till date around hundred persons have lost their eyes while scores have become handicapped by the use of pellet guns," he added.
The APHC Chairman demanding an immediate ban on the use of pellet guns in occupied Kashmir appealed to the international human rights organizations to come forward on the issue and play their part in this regard.
