Mirwaiz calls for shutdown in IOK on Tuesday.

Srinagar -- In occupied Kashmir, after Syed Ali Gilani and Mohammad Yasin Malik, senior Hurriyet leader, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has also called for a complete shutdown on Tuesday against the growing incidents of harassment, bullying and victimization of Kashmiri students in India. According to reporter, the Mirwaiz in a statement issued in Srinagar said it seems that extremist elements in India are hell-bent upon taking away the right of the Kashmiri students of their education and force them out of the institutions by physically assaulting them and harassing them.

He said it was a serious concern for the entire people of Kashmir. It was the moral and legal responsibility of the Indian government to ensure the safety and security of the Kashmiri students, he added.

Earlier reacting to the attacks carried out by communal elements and fascist forces on the Kashmiri students studying in Engineering and Technology College Jammu and Dental College Jodhpur, Rajasthan, APHC spokesman condemned these attacks and expressed grave concern over the safety of Kashmir students.

Cautioning that if the Kashmiri students studying outside the territory were not given adequate protection or their careers damaged, the spokesman said then it would have serious repercussions for which the government of India would be responsible.

Meanwhile, local human rights body Voice of Victims in a statement warned India of serious repercussions over Kashmiri students studying in different states of India. VOV Direct Abdul Qadeer Dar while expressing concern over the growing attacks on Kashmiri students inside India demanded of international human rights organizations to take notice of the miseries of Kashmiri students inside India.
