Mirror M@ilbox: LESSON IN COURAGE.
Byline: Terry Palmer, Barnsley
WE hear many stories of courage and determination but not many will surpass that of Claire Gallagher, who was blinded and left disfigured by the Omagh bombers three years ago when she was only 15 years old.
She has now gone on to pass two A-levels and her wish to go on to university has been achieved (The Mirror, August 17). This young lady and her supportive family deserve all the praise going for showing the rest of us how to move on in life when faced with a terrible disadvantage.
