Mirror M@ilbox: Beat the bullies.

Byline: Jayne Pickard

THE item on Jessica O'Connell who kept a diary after being bullied was shocking (Daily Mirror, June 25).

How can Jessica's school claim it has an effective anti-bullying policy when she is talking of suicide at an age when she should be carefree? The bully should be expelled.

Both my daughters were bullied. I had numerous meetings with their teachers, but none would admit there was a problem. It's time proper punishment was brought back in our schools, then perhaps bullies would think twice.
