Minister meets food industry; yourmoney edited by GARY MYLeS.

THE Northern Ireland Food and Drink Association has met Agriculture Minister Michelle O'Neill recently to discuss plans to take the agri-food industry forward.

The organisation said it was pleased to have the Sinn Fein representative's support for a fair and equitable resolution to the Superquinn situation.

The minister said: "We share a common goal of wanting to support and develop the agri-food sector.

"I believe that we need to learn from the strategic targeted approach taken in the south in 'Harvest 2020' and begin work with the industry here to build a similar comprehensive strategy for growth of the agri-food sector.

"Over my next four years in office, I will be working closely with other Executive colleagues to help support this type of expansion in this important sector."
