Minimum pasteurization law discussed.

LAHORE -- Stakeholders meeting at the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore discussed development of formal dairy sector and a minimum pasteurization law here on Friday.

Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha and Secretary Livestock and Dairy Development Department Punjab Dr Amer Ahmed co-chaired the meeting while officers from the livestock department, researchers from academic institution, representatives of private sector and dairy farmers attended the meeting.

The participants gave various suggestions for development of dairy sector and minimum pasteurization law.

Nutrition expert Dr Muhammad Nasir also gave a presentation on minimum pasteurization law on the occasion.

All the participants lauded the effort of UVAS for the new initiatives in minimum pasteurization law in dairy sector.

Secretary Livestock said that we will strive hard to uplift dairy sector and make this possible into well organize sector.

Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha said that UVAS play a key role to uplift Dairy sector, UVAS milk testing service is working very well.
