Mini Kickers finalists decided; FOOTBALL.

BEECHWOOD were the only primary school to claim two of the eight winners spots at the Everton Mini Kickers Halton Festivals.

From Runcorn the qualifiers were: year one sides from St Martin and Beechwood (joint), Hill View's year two side, year three from the Brow, and the year fours from Beechwood.

From Widnes: year ones from Fairfield, Our Lady of Perpetual Succour's year twos, year threes from The Brow, and Spinney Avenue's year four all made it through.

All nine will advance to the play offs at Finch Farm, with the prospect of a Goodison Park final planned for May 17.

It is estimated that around 390 youngsters from years one to four benefited from attending the festivals, which were supported by 42 sports leaders from the host secondary schools.
