Millman keeping the faith.

TRAINER Rod Millman retains his faith in the progeny of stallion Makbul after La Vie Est Belle landed the Sky Bet Maiden Auction Fillies' Stakes at Bath.

Millman enjoyed one of his biggest career successes when Lord Kintyre, a son of the same sire, won the 1997 Weatherbys Super Sprint at Newbury.

And the Cullompton trainer believes he may have another fair runner as the game La Vie Est Belle held off Deign To Dance in a tight finish.

Millman said: 'I'm pleased for Adrian (McCarthy) as she was his first winner as a jockey and I've always liked the filly as she is by Makbul whose progeny have served us so well since we landed the Super Sprint with Lord Kintyre.

'He is still going strong and runs here next week.'
