Millionaire's band plays on; LOTTERY.

It was a case of the show must go on for a musician who hit the jackpot, he said yesterday.

Martin Fielding was in the middle of a set on Saturday when he learned he had become a millionaire.

He was performing with his three-piece band, Burn Baby Burn, when his former workmate, Alan Butt, phoned to tell him that together they had scooped a pounds 2,077,095 share of that night's Lotto Jackpot.

Mr Fielding told him: "You can't do this to me now. I have got to go on and play another 45 minutes."

And with that the 47-year-old was straight back on stage to open the second part of the set with - appropriate enough - M People's Moving On Up.
