Millard back in action; RUGBY UNION.

Byline: By John Wilkinson

COVENTRY winger Dave Millard survived an injury scare as he continued his comeback with a league debut for Kenilworth.

The Scotland Under-21 cap, who pulled a hamstring in Cov's opening game of the season and then broke a bone in his foot on his return to training, came off 15 minutes into the Midlands Two West game against Newbold but was given the all-clear after a trip to hospital.

"Dave felt something go pop in his foot and was really worried," said Cov's head coach Mike Umaga. "Whatever it was, it hasn't done any damage and he will be fine.

"He was always going to be a bit apprehensive, and he did the right thing by coming off to have it checked out.

"We want Dave to have a couple of full 80 minutes games to get some rugby behind him as he comes back into contention for us.
