Military manoeuvre goes down a bomb.

Aviation Museum offered visitors a trip though time at the weekend.

The Heathhall site put on its annual military vehicle show which had a wide variety of bikes, jeeps and trucks on show.

They added to the spectacle of the day alongside the lineup of the traditional planes and jets in the Dumfries museum.

As well as the motors, there was a live field-gun firing in the afternoon and visitors piled into the museum to look at the vintage equipment and clothing from bygone days.

Hundreds of visitors flocked to enjoy the day as they managed to get their hands on some replica firearms and measure themselves up against lifesize models of bombs.

The Scottish Military group provided some added colour with period costumes and actors who threw themselves into the day creating miniature camps on the grounds of the museum.
