Militants storm district headquarters.

JALALABAD (PAN): Taliban militants attacked the Lalpur boarder district of eastern Nangarhar province and damaged the office complex, an official said on Wednesday.

The insurgents stormed the district headquarters around midnight, slightly damaging the building, border police spokesman Idrees Momand told Pajhwok Afghan News.

He said the attack triggered a clash lasting two hours. The security personnel suffered no casualties, while the militants suffered losses, the spokesman said, without giving figures.

However, a Taliban spokesman, Zabihullah Mujahid, said two policemen were killed and five others injured, the including district police chief.
