Medical R&D company Milestone Scientific (NYSE MKT:MLSS) revealed on Tuesday that it has started the first shipments of its CompuFlo Epidural Instrument to distributors and key opinion leaders in Europe through its Epidural & Intra-Articular (IA) subsidiary.

According to the company's CEO Leonard Osser, since receiving CE Mark marketing clearance for its epidural instrument, its Epidural & IA Subsidiary has been in negotiations with distributors in a number of countries in Europe and has signed an exclusive agreement with TRIMED Sp.z.o.o. in Poland.

TRIMED has purchased the CompuFlo Epidural Instrument initially for internal use and training purposes and plans to launch the instrument through a combination medical conventions, direct selling to anesthesia departments at public hospitals and private clinics, and a comprehensive marketing initiative.

Earlier this month, the company's Epidural & IA Subsidiary signed a distribution agreement with Moss S.p.A. in Italy, with shipments expected to commence in the next few weeks. Over one million epidurals are administered in Italy each year which makes Italy another viable market for these instruments, concluded Osser.
