Mikohn to Debut New Sign Spectacular Created For ITT Corp. at New York's Times Square

LAS VEGAS, Oct. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Mikohn (Nasdaq: MIKN) will debut a 55x55 ft. sign and video spectacular on the most visible site at New York's famed Times Square later this month. Commissioned by ITT Corporation (NYSE: ITT), the major display, featuring the MikohnVision(TM) lampbank system is 300 ft. above the street on the One Times Square Building, which previously featured the Sony installation. Annually on New Year's Eve, this location attracts thousands of New Yorkers along with millions of television viewers who watch the lighted ball drop to usher in a new year.

The MikohnVision(TM) system will be Times Square's largest and highest video landmark. It utilizes state-of-the-art technology proprietary to Mikohn for a full range of color and brightness that can be seen from as far away as Central Park.

This mega-screen video features an illuminated ITT logo with a 4Ox55 ft. MikohnVision(TM), presenting real-time graphics, animation, text and video clips. It will provide a powerful promotional identity for many ITT subsidiaries including Sheraton Hotels, Caesars World, and Madison Square Garden.

David J. Thompson, Mikohn's chairman and chief executive officer, stated: "Designing and building this sign for ITT at Times Square gives Mikohn the dual distinction of having our MikohnVision(TM) system used by one of the world's most renowned companies in one of the world's most photographed locales. This should give us unprecedented international exposure.

"We already have a large MikohnVision(TM) installation in Las Vegas, another mecca for world-class electronic displays. What this ITT sign underscores is the potential of MikohnVision(TM) for other high profile, high traffic commercial venues including stadiums and arenas."

Samuel M. Marcoschamer, ITT director of creative services, commented: "We chose MikohnVision(TM) because of its ability to deliver a high impact message in a highly competitive and important environment for us. It provides us with a significant and flexible tool for promoting our entertainment attractions to tens of millions of New Yorkers and visitors from around the world."

Since being introduced just one year ago, more than 20 MikohnVision(TM) systems have been installed from Nevada, Arizona, Louisiana and New Mexico domestically to Jordan, Mexico, St. Martin and Turkey internationally. Among these are two of the most recent in Las Vegas: a 4Ox8O ft. spectacular on the new Stratosphere Tower, the tallest structure west of the Mississippi; and a 30x49 ft. double-sided spectacular as part of a 19-story high sign display now being built by Mikohn on the facade of the Sahara Hotel & Casino.

The Times Square spectacular represents the first use of MikohnVision(TM) in a non-gaming venue. The company primarily supports the worldwide gaming industry with an expanding array of proprietary products, games and high technology systems to better merchandise, promote and control casino operations.
