Mikati meets Islamic Sharia delegation, Kheireddine.

NNA - Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, met Tuesday at the Grand Serail with a delegation of the Islamic Sharia Council, comprised of former Deputy Premier Omar Mesqawi, as well as Mohammad Raji Bsat, Mehieddine Qotob, Mohammad Smaili, Bassam Barghout, Mohammad Murad, Mohammad Fawaz,Sami Siniora, Mehieddine Doughan, and Talal Baydoun.

"We visited the Prime Minister and discussed with him current public affairs, especially on the level of what is presently taking place on the Lebanese domestic scene," Mesqawi told reporters following the meeting.

In response to a question about whether the mandate of the current Council would be extended, Mesqawi said that such a matter was not broached with the Prime Minister.

Afterwards, Mikati met with State Minister Marwan Kheireddine.
