Migrant heritage display.
SCORES of nationalities are going to be represented in a Tyneside exhibition. The display, Destination Tyne and Wear, will be shown at the Discovery Museum.
It uncovers the heritage of the region's migrant communities, and shows how they have helped to shape the culture of the region.
Graham Bradshaw, curator of Discovery Museum, said: "Not much is currently known about the history of the many migrant communities which make up Tyne and Wear. Through this exhibition, we have worked with people to discover details about migration to the region, going back to the 1800s."
The exhibition includes the stories of a number of local people.
