Midland law firm reveals top partner.
A BLACK Country law firm has appointed a new managing partner.
Nick Taylor will step into the role at Higgs & Sons in December and bring to an end the 18-year tenure of incumbent Paul Hunt.
Upon qualification in 1999, Mr Taylor joined Dudley-based Higgs & Sons' business services team, during which time he has been responsible for the firm's corporate, commercial, tax and business wealth preservation, insolvency and succession planning.
As managing partner, Mr Taylor will be responsible for the operations and performance of the business but will remain an active part of the corporate team.
Mr Hunt's new role will see him head up the firm's business succession planning team.
He said: "Owner-managed businesses are the bedrock of Higgs and we believe that, for the good of the region, we need to encourage early and effective planning for the future ownership and management of our clients.
"I would like to think I am practising what I preach and will be leaving our managing partner role in very capable hands."
