Midland heroes UB40 top bill at spring gig.

LEGENDARY Midlanders UB40 have been lined up to headline a spectacular outdoor concert in the Black Country, it has been announced.

Walsall Football Club's Banks's Stadium will host the event, named The Spring Happening, on Bank Holiday Monday, May 31.

The evergreen supergroup top the bill with their only confirmed show in the Midlands so far this year.

The line-up also features urban giants N-Dubz, supported by the Specials frontman and original rude boy Neville Staple, plus Midlands Ska heroes The Beat. More performers are being lined up too.

"This promises to be a great event," said Mark Ellis, from The Spring Happening's promoters, Unique Live Events. "The line-up is awesome and there's definitely something in there to suit every taste and era.

"Spring Happening will be a great Bank Holiday day out for all the family. The facilities at the Banks's Stadium are first class and this will be the outdoor event of 2010.

"We have some fantastic acts already in place and are talking to other artists to add to the line-up."
