Midisoft taps new distribution channel; Music Hardware and Software Package Now Available at Military Exchanges.

ISSAQUAH, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 7, 1996--The Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) has selected Midisoft Family Music Center(tm), announced Midisoft Corp. (Nasdaq National Market: MIDI), a leading developer of music and sound software, to fill its 94 locations across the country and U.S. territories including Panama and Puerto Rico.

AAFES, based in Dallas, has placed an initial order for more than 850 units of Midisoft Family Music Center, the all-in-one music hardware and software package for making music on a PC. The product will be available at AAFES retail outlets beginning this month.

Midisoft Family Music Center includes an electronic piano keyboard and cable, award-winning software Midisoft Studio 4.0(tm) and Midisoft Play Piano 2.0(tm), and a connect-and-play video cassette that demonstrates how easy it is to set-up the system and begin making music on a PC.

Midisoft Play Piano(tm) includes more than 400 music lessons prepared by the winner of the Tchaikovsky Piano Competition for skill levels ranging from "Chop Sticks" to "The Flight of the Bumble Bee." A powerful piano tutor customizes and tracks lessons for each family member. The software also features on-screen video demonstrations of proper hand positioning and fingering.

Midisoft Studio 4.0 lets users compose, edit and print music on a PC. Users can add instrumental sounds, vocal tracks and special effects to the music files they record. Included are advanced editing features and realistic mixing-board style screen on your PC, creating a full-featured recording studio.
