Microtune Showcases Cable and Digital TV Solutions at 2006 China Cable Broadcasting Network Show in Beijing.

PLANO, Texas -- Microtune Exhibits DVB-C, DVB-T, DVB-H and ATSC Solutions That Enable Chinese Manufacturers to Develop Consumer Products Targeting the Chinese Domestic and U.S. Export Markets

Reinforcing its support for global customers and worldwide TV reception standards, Microtune(R), Inc. (Nasdaq:TUNE) today announced that it is exhibiting its silicon tuner and upconverter solutions in its booth (Hall B, B182) at the China Cable Broadcasting Network (CCBN) trade show this week. Held March 21-23, 2006, at the China International Exhibition Center in Beijing, CCBN is a leading digital television and broadband network exhibition covering the latest technologies and products in the digitalization of cable, terrestrial and satellite services.

Microtune's radio frequency (RF) silicon products enable Chinese manufacturers to develop digital cable, terrestrial and mobile broadcast TV solutions targeted for the domestic China markets, as well as the North American digital TV export markets. Products, including chips, evaluation boards and reference designs, showcased in Microtune's booth include:

--A low-cost, turnkey front-end tuning solution for the DVB-C digital cable set-top box market featuring Microtune's MT2060 low-power digital tuner;

--DVB-H receiver solutions featuring Microtune's MT2260 family of ultra low-power tuners for mobile broadcast TV;

--Headend solutions for Chinese cable operators featuring Microtune's VideoCaster(TM) silicon-based upconverter; and

--Hybrid ATSC/NTSC/Cable receiver solutions, showcasing the Company's newest high-performance 3-in-1 TV tuner, the MicroTuner(TM) MT2131, for Chinese manufacturers exporting digital television sets to North America.
