Microsoft is to provide over 500,000 businesses with the chance to preview the soon to be released Office XP.

The decision comes as part of Microsoft's Corporate Preview Program, aimed at providing customer feedback. Included in the package will be the latest versions of Word 2002, Outlook 2002, Excel 2002, PowerPoint 2002, Access 2002 and FrontPage 2002 as well as various multilanguage packs. The package can be evaluated until August 31, 2001, costs USD19.95 and can be ordered from the web site http://www.microsoft.com/office/xpcorpbeta.htm.

The final version and complete release of Office XP will be available sometime in the first half of 2001.
