Meydan, Union Coop ink deal to build mall in MBR City.
Meydan Group and Union Coop have signed a contract to purchase a plot of land in Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum City for the construction of a mall in District 11, the companies said on Sunday.
The more than 19,000m 2 , two-storey mall will include a hypermarket, retail shops, and service outlets and will be operated by Union Coop.
Majid Hamad Rahma Al Shamsi, chairman of the Board of Directors at Union Coop, and Saeed Humaid Al Tayer, chairman and CEO of Meydan City Corporation signed the contract in Meydan, Dubai.
Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum City - District 11 is a residential project consisting of two main areas, with the first containing 1,500 semi-separate four-room villas, and the second featuring 700 four-room housing units in the Meydan Villas area.
