Mexican joint venture.

The Philadelphia-based Binswanger real estate organization and Grupo Bermudez announced the formation of Grupo Bermudez-Binswanger, S.A. de R.L., a Mexican corporation, which will provide a full range of real estate services to foreign companies in Mexico, Central America, Colombia and Venezuela.

The joint venture will provide companies wishing to relocate or expand operations to those countries with comprehensive real estate services based on a thorough knowledge of the local markets.

Grupo Bermudez, based in Juarez with a branch office in Mexico City, has grown from a regional construction company into a national real estate organization. The company was founded in 1954 by Jaime Bermudez Sr., the architect of Mexico's Border Industrialization Program of 1965. Grupo Bermudez pioneered the development and marketing of maquiladora industrial parks, and has been Mexico's top developer/manager of industrial parks and facilities for more than 20 years. The Antonio 1. Bermudez Industrial Park in Juarez has the country's largest concentration of foreign firms, including General Electric, General Motors, General Instrument, Thomson (France) and TDK (Japan). Through its representatives throughout the region, Grupo Bermudez maintains an extensive database of available industrial and corporate headquarters facilities.
