NORDIC BUSINESS REPORT-16 January 2002-Metso Corporation divests Swedish tanker superstructures maker Interconsult to Jyki Corporation (C)1994-2002 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

The Finnish process industry machinery and systems supplier Metso Corporation announced today (16 January) that its rock and mineral processing business area Metso Minerals had agreed to sell its Swedish tanker superstructures manufacturer Interconsult i Falkenberg AB to the Finnish company Jyki Corporation.

The acquisition price has not been disclosed.

Interconsult, based in Falkenberg near Gothenburg, Sweden, was acquired by Metso Corporation in connection with its acquisition of Svedala Industri AB in September 2001. Interconsult has 150 employees and net sales of some EUR12m.

Jyki Corporation supplies trailers, trailer superstructures and storage and transportation systems for the process industry. It has three production facilities in Finland and sales of some EUR20m.
