Metso Automation has signed a major contract for two SCADA systems with the Lanchengyu Project Department of PetroChina Company Limited in the People's Republic of China: Lan-Cheng-Yu Liquid Products Pipeline and the LangFang National Control Center. The Lan-Cheng-Yu (LCY) contract resulted from a complex two-phase proposal process. This project will follow an extremely fast-tracked schedule for the field portion. The new LCY pipeline will transport gasoline, diesel and other liquid products 775 miles over mountainous terrain in west China from Lanzhou Oil Refinery to Chongqing City via Chengdu. The project scope includes the supply of a turnkey OASyS SCADA system with multiple control centers.
