Metrocall Introduces NoteSender(TM) Text Messaging Software; Metrocall and Desktop Paging Software Announce Alliance

ALEXANDRIA, Va., and NASHUA, N.H., Nov. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Metrocall, Inc. (Nasdaq: MCLL) today announced an alliance with Desktop Paging Software, Inc., the largest alphanumeric messaging software provider. The alliance provides Metrocall's existing and new paging service customers access to NoteSender text messaging software.

Computer users utilizing Microsoft Windows(TM) MS-DOS, and Macintosh operating systems can now quickly and easily use the NoteSender software to send text messages to alphanumeric pagers. NoteSender's state-of-the-art user interface provides Metrocall's paging customers access to powerful messaging features such as unlimited subscriber directory, group paging, preset messages, and message logging. With NoteSender's toolbars, menu, and on-line help, sending messages is fast and efficient. Metrocall customers can use the NoteSender plug-in translators to import data from other paging software packages or earlier versions of Metrocall software.
