Genesys Telecommunications Laboratories, a company of communications solutions provider Alcatel-Lucent (Euronext Paris:ALU) (NYSE:ALU), announced that it will be implementing a complete multimedia routing and IVR (Interactive Voice Response) solution for Meteor Mobile Communications, an Irish mobile communications provider and a subsidiary of eircom Group plc.
The solution is expected to provide Meteor with a platform that integrates all customer interaction types. The system's reporting will enable the company to evaluate its contact centre and always put customer care at the forefront of its business.
According to the company, the Genesys platform offers a modular approach so that expanding contact centres like Meteor's can add capabilities as necessary. Enterprises can choose to support customer interactions via any communication channel, including VoIP, e-mail, chat and voice self-service. In addition, the system improves agent productivity by integrating real-time customer interactions with service-related activities, such as off-line work item processing and training.
Genesys' Professional Services is reportedly working closely with Meteor to define and enhance product and business requirements, as well as provide pre- and post go-live support, knowledge transfer and consultancy.
