MetaCommunications to Debut Newest Products, Showcase Case Studies at Print 05.

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Company to Preview Web-Enabled Version of Job Manager, Unveil Digital Storage Manager and Present Two High Profile Virtual Ticket Success Stories

MetaCommunications, Inc., a leading developer of business management and workflow solutions for the graphic arts industry, today announced its plans for the upcoming Print '05 show in Chicago. The company will debut its newest products and present several informative case studies in booth #6258 at McCormick Place, from September 9 to 15, 2005.

The company will preview a new web-enabled version of Job Manager(TM), a production management system that enables organizations to create estimates, collect production data, track jobs, calculate costs, and bill completed or partially completed jobs. It will also provide the first public demonstration of Digital Storage Manager(TM) for the printing industry. Digital Storage Manager is the first intranet search and archive management system for creative and prepress workgroups that enables users to find any online or offline file, tag files with meaningful data, and manage the archive process.

MetaCommunications will also showcase case studies of its powerful Virtual Ticket(TM) product, a production platform that enables organizations to effectively manage creative and production workflows, scheduling, digital assets, and archiving in a collaborative environment. The case studies will include Sandy Alexander and Southern Graphics Systems.

Sandy Alexander, the largest independently-owned high-end commercial printing company in the U.S., uses Virtual Ticket to gain dramatic order and production process improvements, resulting in cost savings, enhanced quality control, and faster job turnaround.

"Virtual Ticket has more than exceeded our expectations," said Howie Swerdloff, Vice President of Production and Prepress Services for Sandy Alexander. "This cost-effective system is having a profoundly positive impact on our order entry and production workflow by allowing us to automate many tasks that were once performed manually. As we continue to learn more about the capabilities of Virtual Ticket we feel the possibilities are limitless. Already, the tremendous results achieved have enabled us to fulfill our ultimate goal to take on more jobs and meet our clients' current and future needs."

Southern Graphic Systems, the leading solutions provider to the graphic arts and packaging printing industries, uses Virtual Ticket as the basis for its centralized and common manufacturing order entry system that benefits employees, management and clients by speeding time to market and enhancing customer service.

"Virtual Ticket's ability to allow locations to define and store specifications for jobs that are recurring has been key in reducing order entry time and elevating quality," said Gary Bernier, Corporate Director of Technology & Innovation for Southern Graphic Systems. "Our employees like the very simple and fast order entry system, which has been crucial to gaining acceptance and getting work out. Our management likes it because they get detailed analysis of what occurs in their business. Our clients like it because work is done quickly and accurately. Overall it has been a win-win for everyone."
