Merrill Lynch Saudi Arabia gets new CEO.

Motashar Almurshed has been appointed chief executive officer (CEO) for Merrill Lynch, Saudi Arabia, effective immediately.

Based in Riyadh, Motashar will be responsible for managing the business in Saudi Arabia and supporting Bank of America Merrill Lynch's broader Middle East and North Africa region initiatives.

Motashar joins Bank of America Merrill Lynch from Alinma Investment, a subsidiary of Saudi Arabia's Alinma Bank, where he served as chief executive and a member of the board. Prior to that, he was a managing director at NCB Capital, and previously worked for Alrayis Business Group and Sabb/HSBC.- TradeArabia News Service
