FOLSOM, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 10, 2001

MPS Selects Disney's Yacht and Beach Resort in Orlando, Fla.,

As Locale For October Event

Meridian Project Systems (MPS) will hold its annual user conference at Disney's Yacht and Beach Resort in Orlando, Fla. The two-day event will bring together construction professionals from all over the world to collaborate with their peers and learn about MPS' products, services, technological advances and industry trends. MPS became a construction industry leader in the early 1990's with its feature-rich Prolog software, and has significantly increased its market share with last year's launch of ProjectTalk.com, an online project management and collaboration tool.

Filled with to-the-point track sessions and hard-hitting speakers, this year's user conference theme is "Building On Experience." It will take place October 25-26, 2001. The conference's organizer, MPS' marketing manager Bernie Paul says, "We're striving to educate our clients with the best methods to increase construction management production while cutting cost. MPS offers its clients not only cutting-edge technology products, but also years of tried-and-true industry experience." Paul went on to say that the recent dot-com shakeout has industry professionals leery of newer vendors that lack construction roots. "Our theme stresses moving forward, but with good old-fashioned hindsight and know-how under our belt. Not all companies can offer that today."

Last year's International User Conference took place in Vancouver, BC, and sold out well before the event. This year, MPS has expanded the show's capacity by nearly 70 percent. "With our booming ProjectTalk membership and our continually growing Prolog clientele, we had to prepare for a much bigger venue," Paul continued. She believes that, despite the augmented program, the event will sell out again.
