Merfin Hygienic names Lemire, Patroncini to board.

Merfin Hygienic Products, a Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada manufacturer and marketer of air laid specialty paper, has elected Andre Lemire and Guido Patroncini to its board of directors. Mr. Lemire is the president and chief operating officer of Marleau, Lemire, a Canadian financial holding company. Mr. Patroncini is the former president and chief executive officer for the Fiberweb Group, Brugg, Switzerland, and is a past chairman of EDANA. He is presently the managing director of his own consulting firm in Zurich, Switzerland.

In other Merfin personnel news, Gordon Pedwell has joined the company's management team as vice president, marketing and sales-Converted Products Division. He will be responsible for leading the company in its expansion into specialty air laid paper applications. Mr. Pedwell worked previously at Scott Paper as director of commercial marketing services.
