Mepco imposes fine over Rs 2.3 mln on 94 power pilferers.

MULTAN -- Task Force of Multan Electric Power Company (Mepco) imposed fine over Rs 2.3 million on 94 power pilferers during a crack down across 13 districts of the region. According to Mepco sources, in line with special directions of CEO Mepco Engineer Tahir Mahmood, the Mepco task force alongwith district administration and police launched a crack down against power pilferers and caught 94 persons for stealing 158,000 units. The Mepco task force also got registered FIRs against 13 power pilferers with the concerned police stations, sources added.
