Memory aid skills to be highlighted.

AN EXPERT on the workings of the brain who recently featured on TV is to visit Coventry.

Tony Buzan will talk to school heads and company bosses about his techniques to improve memory and thinking skills.

The visit is being organised on Wednesday by Head Teachers in Industry, an organisation based at the University of Warwick Science Park to give school heads a chance to spend short periods working in industry.

Mr Buzan recently featured on the BBC 2 documentary In Search of Genius filmed at Beechwood School in Slough. He improved the achievement levels of a group of 12 year olds who had been having problems at school.

The head of Beechwood School Julia Shepard will also speak at the event giving her perspective on the experiment.

HTI chief executive Anne Evans said: "We are always looking for new ways to encourage school leaders to think outside the box and to have secured such an eminent expert in the field of learning is a real coup."
