Memorial game for fall victim; ROUND-UP.

A MEMORIAL football match is being held for a promising young player who died while on a gap year in Australia.

Osian Roberts, from Talwrn, was 22 when he fell from a bridge in Melbourne in 2007, near the end of a year-long trip to Australia.

Now, his friends and brother have organised a charity football match in his memory.

Their team, Osian's 11, will face the Llangefni Legends, a team comprised of former Llangefni players including Osian's father.

As a youngster Osian had trials with a number of clubs, including Arsenal, Liverpool and Wolverhampton.

The game will take place at Llangefni's Cae Bob Parry on April 16. The gates will open at 6.30 and the match will kick off at 7pm.
