Membership growth in ACTE.

ACTE would like to take this opportunity to thank its members for the work they have done over the past calendar year. Over that time, ACTE has experienced a growth in membership that is due, in large part, to the work active members have done to share with their colleagues the benefits of belonging to ACTE.

As membership grows, ACTE seeks to enhance the value of membership by continuing to give members access to new programs and services and improving member support. Below are a couple of the latest member benefits:

* Instant access to thouands of colleagues through ACTE's online Communities of Practice. The Communities of Practice help members facilitate discussions with other CTE professionals from around the country on topics of interest to individuals in the profession.

* Discounts an products from Office Depot. Save money on the supplies you buy for students and teachers. ACTE members can now receive access to 14,000 products priced at discounts of up to 75 percent off manufacturer's list. Further, a key buy list of 100 items at an additional 15 percent below Office Depot's published prices is included. Members can access the link to the Office Depot site from the ACTE Web site under "Member Benefits."

In addition, ACTE developed a list of member service standards for members to use as a guide for interacting with ACTE staff and as a measure of what to expect from member service. The member service standards are posted on the ACTE Web site at www.acteonline.org/about/index.cfm.

ACTE thanks its members for the work they have done to increase membership. As our numbers grow, so does our voice on Capitol Hill, our access to information and best practices, and the products and services the Association is able to provide.

We look forward to a productive and exciting 2006. As always, ACTE welcomes any suggestions you may have on how we can enhance your experience as an ACTE member. Please send your comments to acte@acteonline.org.
