Members angry as town gym closes without any warning.

Byline: CLAIRE HARRISON Nuneaton Reporter news@trinitymirror.com

A NUNEATON gym has been forced to close due to liquidation - much to the dismay of its angry members.

Many turned up to Focus Fitness in Liberty Way only to find the doors closed, with a note in a frame saying that the gym has 'ceased trading' and closed with 'immediate affect.'.

Accountancy firm Smith Cooper has been called in to place Focus Fitness Centres Limited, which runs the Liberty Way-based venue, into creditor's voluntary liquidation.

It is understood that the firm is now dealing with all inquiries, including those of bemused gym-goers.

"Smith Cooper have been instructed to assist the directors of Focus Fitness Centres Limited, to assist them in placing the company into Creditors Voluntary Liquidation," said a spokesperson for the firm. Creditors are shortly to be provided with the relevant information regarding the process, to enable them to partake in proceedings. We are in the process of dealing with all inquiries and will strive to achieve the best outcome for all parties involved."

The building has something of a chequered history as it was formerly Bettabodies gym, which also ended up closing quickly and without any notice.
