The Technics SX-PC26M digital piano conveys clear sound with a three-dimensional quality and reproduces the open-lid effect of a concert grand piano using Acoustic Reflection Technology.

The digital piano's rear cabinet panel is angled within a range of the sound emanating downward from the speakers, which helps reduce sound waves around the player's feet and adds indirect sounds. Also, the SX-PC26M is accented by Natural Response Action, so, like a concert grand piano, where the key touch changes naturally from one end of the keyboard to the other as a result of thickness of strings, this new technology replicates the progression by using four sets of graduated hammers to provide a substantial, authentic response.

Other features include its Dynamic Acoustics technology, which allows the piano to replicate the direct sounds of hammers striking string, delivering the reflective and resonating sounds of an acoustic piano performance, and its Pulse Code Modulation, which includes settings for grand, upright and electric piano and also features the tones of a harpsichord, pipe organ and strings. Also, its Dual Functions setting allows the performer to layer two different sounds for extra richness and variety.

The SX-PC26M is available in a simulated cherry wood finish and has eighty-eight-key console, with thirty-two-note polyphony. Included with the piano are two headphone jacks, MIDI terminals (In/Out) and an AUX IN terminal, allowing an external source, such as a sound module or CD player, to be connected so the performer can play along with a favorite recording artist.
