Mehmooda Mamnoon lauds PFOWA's role to promote local culture.

ISLAMABAD -- Wife of President Mamnoon Hussain, Begum Mehmooda Mamnoon Friday said that the Pakistan Foreign Office Women's Association was playing an effective role to promote the country's culture.

In a meeting with the executive committee of the Association, she said the members of PFOWA were a role model for the Pakistani women and that she enjoyed PFOWA Charity Bazar.

She said the charitable work of PFOWA was highly commendable and the efforts made in the fields of natural disasters, rural health care and assistance to widows and orphans were praiseworthy.

She said at Charity Bazar, she had visited the exhibits where the entire range of Pakistani culture was marvelously displayed. The displays of friendly countries in the Bazar also added to the color and prestige of the event, she remarked.

She urged the PFOWA to further elaborate the scope of its activities for helping the needy and underprivileged.

Begum Mehmooda Mamnoon also wished PFOWA the best of luck in its future endeavors and assured them her full support to its activities.

The delegation comprised PFOWA President Najia Aizaz Ahmad, Vice President Tahsina Aqil, General Secretary Farrah Moin, Treasurer Aneela Naseem Warraich, Entertainment Secretary Jannat Begum, Secretary Bazaar 2014 Siddiqa Tarar, CoTreasure Fazila Moazzam, Secretary Education Laila Rubab Gardezi, Secretary Social Welfare Mahwish Sohail, CoSecretary Bazaar Shabana Zaheer Khan, Member Special Committee Fozia Salik, Editor Saima Tipu, CoSecretary Social Welfare Asma Asim and Member Special Committee Asia Afrasiab.
