Meggitt Wins Cooling System Development Contract From General Dynamics.

(Alliance News) - Aerospace and defence components maker Meggitt PLC said Friday that it has been awarded a fixed price multi-million dollar contract by General Dynamics Land Systems to develop an advanced cooling system for next generation ground combat platforms.

The cooling system contract supports a recent award from the US government to General Dynamics Land Systems with future plans to procure over 2,100 of these new cooling systems valued at over USD250 million.

General Dynamics Land Systems is manufacturer of military vehicles such as tanks and lighter armored fighting vehicles. It is a unit of US aerospace and defence company General Dynamics Corp.

On Thursday, Meggitt said it partnered with Lufthansa Technik AG to provide comprehensive component maintenance, repair and overhaul services for commercial aircraft in mainland China. Lufthansa Technik, based in Hamburg, Germany, is a provider of maintenance, repair and overhaul services, for aircraft engines and components.
