Go for bust

and WIN!

GET ready for some great bubble-bursting action with Bust A Move 3, a new puzzle game from Acclaim.

Following on from the first two versions, Bust A Move 3 boasts new characters, special moves, better graphics and a screen-editing mode.

In the game, you're a cartoon character firing bubbles at other bubbles which are falling downwards.

If you're on the ball, you'll burst as many of the same colour bubbles as you can with one shot. To make it more tricky, there's a time limit - once the bubbles sink to the bottom of the screen the game's over.

The Saturn and PlayStation versions of Bust A Move 3 are already out. They cost pounds 29.99 in the shops, but we have five copies to give away FREE.

Plus one lucky overall winner will also bag a fantastic Sony PlayStation - the must-have console.

To be in with a chance of winning, name two improvements which have been made to this new version of the game. Send your answer on a postcard to Mega Mirror, Bust A Move 3 Comp, PO Box 4024, London, E14 5BZ.

REVIEWS

Black Dahlia (pounds 39.99 PC CD-ROM)

THIS interactive movie adventure, starring Dennis Hopper and Teri Garr, sprawls over eight CDs.

It's an epic in every sense, with 70 locations, 60 puzzles and a story spanning five years.

You star as a US government agent tracking down a serial killer across America and Nazi Germany in the 1940s.

Purists might find it long-winded, but as something to while away long evenings, it's tailor-made. Rating: 83 per cent

Jet Rider 2 (pounds 34.99 PlayStation)

JET Bikes which can travel across land, water and sky should make for a great racing game.

But the gameplay isn't smooth enough, with most of your time spent crashing into obstacles or trying to stay upright.

Being able to spin round curves is a neat idea, but you have to be really good to get that far.

It looks more like a quick paint job on the original game rather than a major oil change. Rating: 74 per cent.

FLY TO FAB FLORIDA

PREPARE for a feast of animated adventure and magic when Anastasia hits cinema screens next week.

And we're celebrating the fab film's arrival with a great give away.

Mega Mirror is giving one lucky reader the chance to win the holiday of a lifetime to Orlando, Florida.

The holiday is for a family of four (two adults and two children under 12) and includes accommodation in the luxurious Clarion Hotel.

And that's not all. Ten runners-up win Anastasia goodie bags, each containing a kite, picture album, magnetic dressing-up kit, body art and collectors' pin set.

Fifty third prize winners will receive a colourful Anastasia mini poster.

The movie is the first to come out of Twentieth Century Fox's state-of- the art animation studios in Pheonix, Arizona. It stars the voice talents of Hollywood actors John Cusack, Meg Ryan and Kelsey Grammer, better known as TV's Frasier. The story tells the tale of peasant girl Anya who discovers she is really Princess Anastasia, the only surviving member of the Romanovs, Russia's last ruling family.

The family have been destroyed in a revolution after the wicked Rasputin put a curse on them.

Together with her dog Pooka and her friend Dimitri, Anya travels to Paris to convince her grandmother the Dowager Empress Marie she is the real Anastasia. Along the way they become entangled in a series of thrilling adventures and are hotly pursued by Rasputin.

Anastasia is a fairytale adaptation of the real-life story of the Romanov family and the Russian revolution in 1917.

The movie was three years in the making and its creators used a combination of computer wizardry and traditional animation drawing.

To enter our brilliant competition, just tell us which country Anastasia comes from.

Send your answer on a postcard together with your name, address, age and telephone number to Mega Mirror Anastasia Comp, PO Box 4024, London, E14 5BZ. But remember you have to be under 12 to enter.

The holiday includes return flights from London to Orlando on Virgin Atlantic, all airport taxes and surcharges, one week room-only at the Clarion Hotel on International Drive, car hire and insurance for the week. It must be taken between September 1 and December 14 1998.

Liz and Demi rivals to

play Lara in the flesh

THE smash video game Tomb Raider is going to be made into a multi- million pound Hollywood blockbuster, Mega Mirror can reveal.

Publishing company Eidos has signed a deal with Paramount Pictures to license the worldwide film rights.

Liz Hurley, Demi Moore, Sandra Bullock and Uma Thurman are said to be among the contenders for the role of the game's feisty heroine Lara Croft.

The Tomb Raider movie, set to hit cinemas around Christmas 1999, will be produced by Larry Gordon and Lloyd Levin who were responsible for the hard-hitting Die Hard films and retro flick Boogie Nights.

"We're thrilled by the possibilities of this film project," says a spokesman for Paramount Pictures. "We're sure it will result in a ground-breaking live-action adventure movie."

Tomb Raider and its sequel Tomb Raider II have sold more than six million copies, making it one of the best-selling video games ever. The game catapulted computer babe Lara Croft to worldwide fame - she has appeared on more than 80 magazine covers and even starred in U2's PopMart Tour.

The trend for turning video games into movies looks set to continue. The classic beat-em-up game Mortal Kombat is going to be turned into a live-action telly series and the first-person shooter Doom has been acquired by TriStar Pictures.
