Meeting over future plans for parish.

A MEETING will be held to consider the future governance of Grindon Parish Council.

Stockton Council will meet on tomorrow to discuss the plans.

Earlier this year all voters living within Grindon Parish held a consultation to see werther the parish should be split in two.

The consultation, which included voters in Grindon, Thorpe Thewles, The Elms and Wynyard, was part of a Community Governance Review which was prompted after Stockton Council received a community governance petition requesting the possible change.

Earlier this month the council's Cabinet studied the feedback and now the findings will go before the full council on Wednesday before consultation on the draft proposals is held later this year.

The final recommendation and reasons for the decision will be published in summer 2017. | Further information about the review can be found on the council's website at www.stockton.gov.uk/grindon
