This publication features the proceedings of the Workshop on Space Law, "Meeting International Responsibilities and Addressing Domestic Needs," excluding the PowerPoint presentations, which are available on a CD-ROM not included with the volume. The workshop, fourth in a series on space law, was held in Abuja, Nigeria, in November of 2005 to promote the ratification of the five United Nations treaties on outer space and to assist States to build their capacity in space law. The 13 papers and two welcoming statements give an overview of the UN treaties and principles on outer space, consider the development of national space laws and policies, and discuss ways to enhance availability and development of university level studies in space law, especially in Africa. Contributors are an international group of researchers, scholars, and legal advisors. There is no index.
