Medworks Media launches two medical journals.

MedWorks Media (New York), the publisher of Mental Fitness, Psychopharmacology Bulletin and Trends in Evidence-Based Neuropsychiatry, has begun the publication of two new Journals, including CS-Chronic Comorbidity in CNS Medicine and Mental Fitness DDP (Doctor Directed publication). Both will be published six times a year. An annual subscription costs $80 for C3 and $90 for Mental Fitness DDP.

C3 is described as the first scientific Journal to address exclusively the comorbidity impact of applied psychiatry in the medically ill. Targeted to practicing psychiatrists, the journal is designed to informe and educate doctors whose patients suffer from psychiatric maladies that impact, or are caused by, general medical problems. Editorial will concentrate on topics relevant to both psychiatry and general medicine, including cardiovascular disease, long-term care, chronic pain management, cancer, chronic fatigue syndrome and reproductive disorders.

The premier Spring issue includes articles on the need for large clinical trials, new approaches to the treatment of pain, the limbic system, and mood disorders and reproduction.

Mental Fitness is described as the first doctor-directed publication designed specifically for the education and the overall therapeutic benefit of psychiatric patients. Targeted to OB/GYNs and practicing psychiatrists, the title discusses mental illness and available treatments from the perspective of both patient and doctor. The first issue included articles on a wide range of topics, including depression in adolescents, dieting, aging, autism, and Parkinson's Disease.
