Research and development company Medizone International Inc (OTC.BB:MZEI) (Pinksheets:MZEI) said on Thursday that it has completed the first phase of AsepticSure beta testing at Hotel Dieu Hospital.

According to Dr. Michael E. Shannon, the AsepticSure system performed to the company's highest expectations. The system has proven to be able to achieve a very high level of microbial kill to the sterilization standard of > 6 log (99.9999%) in the laboratory and now in a hospital setting.

Hotel Dieu Hospital is an ambulatory care teaching and research hospital affiliated with Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada.

Medizone International is developing AsepticSure to decontaminate and sterilize hospital surgical suites, emergency rooms, intensive care units, patient rooms, schools and other critical infrastructure. A government variant is also being developed for bio-terrorism counter measures, with other variants for sports facilities and food processing applications.
