Medical report of Musharraf suggests by-pass operation.

ISLAMABAD -- Medical report of former military dictator recommended heart by-pass surgery of Pervez Musharraf. Former President General (retd) Pervez Musharraf is suffering from five diseases according to medical reports presented before the special court.

The medical reports state that Musharraf is suffering from artery blockage, mental stress, frozen shoulder spinal and bone pain. The report suggested that angiography would be conducted before undergoing by-pass operation.

Earlier on Tuesday, former president Pervez Musharraf's medical reports were presented in a sealed envelope before the special court bench hearing the retired General's high treason case.

The medical reports from the Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology (AFIC) had been summoned by the court during proceedings on Monday.

Upon receiving the medical reports, the bench ordered the prosecution and defence counsels to study the reports and present their arguments at the next hearing while the bench will deliver its verdict on Thursday. The former president was also given two days exemption from appearing before the court.
