Medical Management of Abortion.

Medical Management of Abortion World Health Organization, 2018

The World Health Organization released a new guide to update its recommendations for the use of mifepristone and misoprostol for inducing abortion and for managing incomplete abortion, documented in the WHO 2012 guidelines Safe Abortion: Technical and Policy Guidance for Health Systems and 2015 guidelines Health Worker Roles in Providing Safe Abortion and Post-abortion Contraception. The 2018 guide seeks to update WHO recommendations by incorporating and being informed by the evidence in a number of new studies published recently related to the timing, dosage, dosing intervals and routes of administration of medications to manage abortion, and also the timing of contraception initiation following a medical abortion.
